Goodmorning everyone. I am Italian my name is Giangi I am 48 years old and for some months I have fallen in love with the Kiebitz. Flight for about 20 years with glider, motor glider (Falke SF25) and my Bingo ICP ULM. In Italy I found a Kiebitz with a Nissan engine that I could buy. Unfortunately I never flew with an open biplane and I don't know what to expect. Someone Italian on the forum? Another thing that worries me is the two-wheeler cart, is the Kiebitz difficult to land? Is the Nissan engine with single ignition safe? The questions would be many but let's go step by step. I accept tips for a safe purchase.

Buon gionrno Giangi,
don't worry about landing a Kiebitz. With a Kiebitz, you can forget all the stories of difficulties in landing a conventional gear. Yes, you have to pay attention but ony sightly more than in any tri-gear plane. You will learn it within minutes! The Nissan engine works fine in that plane. When did any plane have to land due to trouble with its ignition? More often I read of ignition trouble with a Rotax in other planes. You can upgrade your ignition to an electronic ignition from "Silent Hektik" (Link), which I can recommend.
